Abolition of Furnished Holiday Lets regime
Landlords letting furnished holiday lets (FHLs) benefit from tax advantages not available to landlords letting residential property on longer lets. In the Spring Budget the Chancellor announced that the FHLs tax regime will be abolished from 6 April 2025.

High Income Child Benefit Charge Changes

New Minimum Wage
We will have a new minimum wage when the rates are increased from 1 April 2024. The NLW is extended to workers aged 21 and above from that date.
New non-dom regime
The Chancellor Jeremy Hunt unveiled plans to reform the remittance basis of taxation which can apply to non-UK domiciled, UK resident individuals. These changes are intended to take effect from 6 April 2025, so the current non-dom regime will remain for the 2024/25 tax year
